Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is like a roadmap for managing intense emotions and building better relationships. It teaches skills to handle stress, regulate emotions, and communicate effectively. Think of it as a toolkit for navigating life's ups and downs with more ease and balance. It is designed for people who feel they have immense difficulty with experiencing emotions (maybe you feel like your emotions are taking you over and you do things that seem like you are another person when this happens OR you end up blunting your emotions to the point of not feeling much of anything at all OR both . . you alternate between these). It is a more intense therapy involving two sessions a week..
